Dance your heart out Bella Ruth!

Saturday May 10th was Bella Ruth's second Dance Recital. She was such a little doll. Most of the girls in her class are 6 years old. There is one that is 5 years old and then Bella Ruth just turned 4 in January. Since we live in a small town there are not very many girls Bella Ruth's age so the dance teacher had to place her with the older girls. She really loves this as she is "babied" by all of them. This was her dance teachers last year so next year we will be at a new school with a new teacher. I know that she will miss her little friends and Miss Jana.

Now I need to learn about photoshop, that's my hubby's department also ;)

Spring Flowers

I love the spring for many reasons, but the main one is all of the beautiful flowers. The planter was a surprise from my dear friends when Chris and I returned from our week away. The lady that lived in our home before us loved roses so we have lots of them. I have grown to really like them as they are pretty maintenance free and so colorful. The hosta was transplanted from my husbands grandmothers (Ruth) yard. I can't wait to plan a garden of my own in our new home!

Love,
Chesnye

I'm practicing taking photos with our new camera so it will take awhile to really figure this out. :)

Tagged

I've been tagged a couple times so here it goes...

maybe i should try to learn how to download our digital pictures so I can keep our blogs updated.
i love the smell of fresh cut grass, rain on Spring and Summer days, salty ocean breezes, clean babies, Crabtree and Evelyn "Summer Hill", and clean laundry.
people would say that i'm a "yes" person. I agree to do way more than my life allows.
i don't understand why sad things happen to good people.
when i wake in the morning (i'm always awaken by a little boy, either Clark or Will Henry) so I stumble to the kitchen to start the coffee and open the windows to hear the birds sing.
i lost my willpower to scrapbook every second of our life.
life is a great journey to be lived to it's fullest.
my past is part of what made me the person I am today.
i get annoyed when people (including children) interrupt.
parties are a great time of celebration.
dogs.... we LOVE them!!
cats... make me sneeze, eyes itch, and throat close up. But I do LOVE Hello Kitty.
tomorrow... is going to be a fun, relaxing day.
i have a low tolerance for... racism, teenagers racing down our street, parents allowing children to drink and littering.
i'm totally terrified of... something happening to one of my children or my husband.
i wonder why some parents allow their children to grow up so fast. I worry that I am just the opposite.
never in my life did i... realize how having children changes everything...for the better.
high school... was a fun time in my life.
when i'm nervous i get sweaty hands, an eye twitch and an upset stomach.
one time i... snuck out with my friends only to walk straight to a Piggly Wiggly to call my parents to come and get me.
take my advice: Never let a day go by without praising God for the life he has given us.
making my bed happens every morning.
i'm almost always in a hurry (see "people would say that i'm...")
i'm addicted to unsweet iced tea with lemon.
i want someone to completely organize my home!

Dear friends and readers,

Please pray for Steven Curtis Chapman and their family as they have had a great tragedy. Their teenage son ran over their youngest daughter, Maria, yesterday evening as the children were playing in their driveway. If you know me, you know that he is Clark's favorite "singer" (as he calls him) and that Chinese adoption is my passion! He has a lake home by ours in Kentucky, and we are always on the lookout for the Chapmans. My heart is just so heavy.

Hugs,

Chesnye

Prayers Needed

Please prayer for our family friend, Rosemary. She found out last week she has Ovarian Cancer and had surgery to remove some of the tumors on Monday. She has become unstable and has been in the ICU since Tuesday. They are going to do testing on her vascular system, as her kidneys are not functioning. Her middle daughter is graduating from high school this next week and I know it is going to be hard on her.
Love,
Chesnye

It's Finally Over!!!!!!

Our Spring soccer season is officially over! The weather here has been crazy and quite frankly, I'm tired of making re-scheduling phone calls. My dear hubby likes to coach every sport and that is just fine when mother nature cooperates. Fall soccer is much easier on a coaches wife. Now we are onto baseball. As I type I hear Clark and his friend Hayden coaching Bella Ruth on how to be the "base girl." I just LOVE the spring!!!`
