I have finally posted some updates that I wrote on March 10. My sweet hubby organized the pictures for me last night. If you would like to see Will Henry's First Birthday photos and some sledding pic's too just scroll down the page.
Enjoy!!!
Easter pictures coming soon :)

He LOVED the Cake

We finally had Will Henry's first birthday party. It ended up being just our family because everyone else was sick. We still had an amazing time. Will Henry loved his toys and his cake. He would just cram fistfuls of cake into his mouth.

Sledding Fun and Fried Bologna Burgers

It's not very often that we get enough snow to actually go sledding. When we do EVERYONE just loves it. In our neighborhood there were snowmen in lots of yards and snow angels all over ours. We were invited to go sledding on our friends farm and boy did we have fun. You see, sledding where we live is impossible. We live in the Mississippi Delta and it is flat. Just 15 miles north you are back in the hills so you have to pack up and go north to get any ground for sledding. As luck would have it my parents were in town so they got to go along. After sledding the whole crew went to a tavern for fried bologna burgers. As if big thick hamburgers were not enough they throw a little fried bologna on it. They have great corn dogs and fried okra for children. Schindlers has been around since 1934 and is located in a sleepy little town of about 500 with a beautiful Catholic Church next door. This was the location of my first official date with my husband so of course I might be a little biased. One of our friends moved here from Dallas about 5 years ago and he was telling my parents that there are certain things you miss about the city, but you don't get the little places like Schindlers. How true that is. It was just great family fun! Thank you Klueppels for the invite!!!

Easter Time Away

Friends, We will be away for the next week as it is Clark's Spring Break. We are going to spend time with my parents, grandparents and my brothers' family. I have lots of pictures to post when I get back, I just need to have my sweet hubby download them onto the computer. I really need to learn how to do this. I hope everyone has a Blessed Easter!

Much Love,
Chesnye

Fashion Diva

Bella Ruth LOVES to dress up. She usually has a minimum of 5 clothes changes a day. Each change comes with a skirt. She can wear a skirt with jeans, pants, leggings, or another skirt. Sometimes she can have jeans, pants and 2 or 3 skirts. She also likes to apply play make-up that she got as a gift. I have to say that we are glad the make-up has slowly disappeared with a little Mama help. A Mama's gotta do what a Mama's gotta do! :)

Spring Fever

Why is it that when the weather starts turning warm I just want to throw everything out and cook some great summer food? Today Bella Ruth and I spent the afternoon cooking cheese grits, deviled eggs or double eggs as she told her Daddy, green beans, and chocolate chip cookies from scratch. We have the chicken ready to throw on the grill. But first we have to deliver some of our food to Miss Angela and Mr. Jon and see that sweet baby girl!!
Happy Spring everyone!!
Love,
Chesnye

Our Baby Turns One Today

Special days are emotional for me as a Mama. I just spend so much time reflecting on the past and pondering the future. Today I have been reliving this day one year ago. The children and I have been talking about what we were doing this time last year. The birth of Will Henry is as perfect as I will ever get with having c-sections. I actually went into labor and had the excitement of calling everyone and rushing to the hospital. This was something I had always longed for. It was such a special time for my husband and I... just the 2 of us alone. It was pretty scary too. We had always had the support of our parents but my parents were in route and his were with Clark and Bella Ruth. The nurses and doctor were excited because we didn't know the gender of the baby. Lucy for a girl and William Henry for a boy. As the c-section began the doctor had Chris stand by him so he could tell me if we had a son or daughter. As the baby was delivered the doctor showed him and Chris just kept saying "Oh my, Oh my, Oh, my", and then finally "It's a BOY!!!!" What sweet words to my ears. We had a son!!! Of course we both had many tears of joy for our new little man!! I just felt so blessed to have a healthy son. My pregnancy and delivery with Clark was very difficult and I felt like God was giving us a chance to really relish in our second son. What an amazing gift!!
